Whoniverse: UNIT Barracks

Well, since having that lovely cafeteria date with Martha Jones, Tyler now knows just a bit more about this world than he did when he arrive. He knows that UNIT was created some time ago to combat aliens threats, the man who founded it being called 'The Brigadier' and that Martha joined UNIT because of a job offer right after medical school.

He's also learned that he's not to leave the base without an escort.

What Martha learned was the story that he's sticking to, and some minor details. Tyler was mostly raised by his uncle Ray, the mushroom samples were going for two different sorts of research, toxin and body enhancement. She's also learned that the contents of the sample case will be destroyed if someone tampers with the box.

She also got to see Tyler's reaction to being told he can't leave the base.

Which leads everyone to this current universe, planet, continent, time and location, with a bored and cabin-feverish young man staring up at the ceiling of the barracks and debating the worth od trying to escape using everything he has.

"Damn." Pause and a long quiet look. "Not your fault anyways. I can understand though."

"Really was a bit much hoping they'd ask a few questions and I'd be on my way..."

"Well, I'll figure something out."

"Sort of." Uncomfortable shrug.

....He knows that grin. That is not a well-boding grin.

No, no it isn't, and the current commander of UNIT is probably getting a headache for no apparent reason right now.

"So, what is on today's agenda...more physical testing, blood analysis results?"

Annoy your captors into submission with near-obnoxious cheerfulness?

Nod. "I think so." :/

Also mebbe talking to more people to determine if Tyler is a threat at all, but. That was a given, really.

"Well..let's get started then....who are we going to meet first? Cute army nurses?"

ER.

"...Me, actually. And the commissary."

Luke, have a Tyler throwing an arm over your shoulder.

"Well now, it's good to hear that I at least have that."

"...It's this way."

"Lead on," Tyler replies, following after Luke.

CUT TO COMMISSARY.

Om nom noms? They're actually not bad, for food that is meant to feed military people.

Awkward Luke is awkward.

Yeh, Tyler's kind of picking that up.

It beats the cafeteria food at the ol school.

...Granted just about anything could beat food that readily animated.

"...so...how long do you think they're going to keep me in here?"

DID WE MENTION HE FEELS GUILTY ABOUT THIS, BECAUSE HE DOES. "I don't... know."

"I don't think... not too long?"

"...Luke, stop having that guilty puppy face..." Tyler replies over a mound of fries. French Fries, the staple of many a food-serving establishment. "I know it's not your fault, and if this happened back home, I'm sure my boss would be doing the same thing."

BUT LUKE DOES SUCH A GOOD GUILTY PUPPY FACE. D:

HE JUST CAN'T WIN HERE FOLKS.

"...in brighter news...is the sample box in a secure location?"

Nodnod. "Yes."

Just a HINT of the usual Luke SCIENCE!GLEE.

"You sure?" Liiiiittle bit of paranoia here. "I mean, you're sure no one's going to open the box and mess with the samples, right?"

"I'm sure. It's flagged for my handling only."

"Good to know." Really, paranoid for a reason.

"Can you reccommend anything fun to do ON the base?"

...There..maybe eyebrow waggling.

"...okay, seriously, entertainment? Something to do?" Luke, you sometimes fail at the flirting game, and it loses a lot of it's fun when the target of it doesn't flirt back.

"Tour around the base?"

Because he's Luke. Duh.

He brightens. "I could do that."

Yeh, hence Tyler ceasing the flirting for now.

"Works for me!" Better than counting spots on the ceiling tiles.

Slightly sheepish shrug in the direction of a v. subtle guard who has been keeping an eye on Tyler and Luke.
