Location cannot be disclosed, Kansas, Revenant house
11:00 am
In all the confusion at the school Tyler had been able to slip away un-noticed after getting Ambriel back inside. That was the easy part, the hard part was running flat out to the home that the Revenant had been sending him to for picking up new gear to practice with, which was over 7 miles away from the school.
By the time he got there, after avoiding cars and grownups who would have stopped him, Tyler stood over in the driveway wheezing and privately thanking Milliways for the Mr. Shephard's PT training. It was probably the only thing that had kept him from collapsing in the driveway. Then he felt the Revenant communicator vibrating in his back pocket and took it out, fiddling the earpiece in.

There's a lot background noise: wind, mostly, and a rapid chud-chud-chud.

Even as he's speaking, the garage door opens and a car pulls out—a late-model Ford sedan, something utterly inconspicuous of which no one would question seeing a child in the back seat. It pulls to a halt in front of Tyler and the trunk pops slightly open.
"Please get your gear from the trunk. I trust you'll find it matches your preferred equipment from our training sessions. Then, hop in the car."

-"Where am I going?"-

The car pulls out of the driveway and takes off, quickly but not so fast as to draw attention.

And seriously, his last encounter with a grown-up Ned was a shock in how much the boy Tyler had known had changed. If that was anything to go by, this could go very, very badly.

2:25 pm, Hwy 57
Tyler looked up from the binder spread across his lap, well that had eaten up a couple of hours. "Okay, I'm finished."

"Awright! Level two! I got there first!"
"You died twice doing it."
"Ahh, you're just a sore loser."

Still...he was starting to get butterflies in his stomach about this.
