Training with Quentyn
Being an unpowered super-hero raises a certain level of paranoia, and Beauford is no exemption from this trope. It's a twisting path to get to 328, buried as it amid the rooms of Milliways. If he weren't certain enough of Quentin's loyalty to his word, this wouldn't even be happening.
The main room itself is clear of all furniture, and looks more like a gym that someone took to the extreme survivalist prepartion symposium. There's a few weapons displayed in cases embedded in the walls.
Hopefully, someone's going to learn from this. "What was the last weapon someone came at you with? We'll start there and work around it."

Beauford's just going to go to a case and spin through the spear selections (good gods what business does he have with this kind of variety and sheer quanity of... you know what, better not ask) until he's pulling out four bone-tipped homemade spears. These he can replace easily if they break. "Grab one, then I want you to come at me with one when I reach that triangle I painted on the floor. I figure once you know how to attack with a weapon, you're going to know how to defeat it."

Quentin easily grabs the spear and tests the grip as he waits for Beauford to reach the spot, "That makes sense."

Once he's at the triangle, the casual ease just drops away like a bad glamour. "Go."
It's like a very pointy version of dodgeball.

As he approaches, he considers Beauford before trying to stab quickly into vital places such as armpit and stomach.

Smarter would be knowing that his trainer would slip those first strikes easily. "Good start, keep at it and get creative."
At one point he's guiding the point of that spear over his shoulder. "The stuff I'm doing is a bit harder with multiple opponents like the ones you described."

Then he starts to try and anticipate the attacks, looking for the openings, he doesn't expect there to be any but he's going to act like they are there, "Yes and I didn't have a bladed weapon against them, that would have worked better."

"Granted, easier said than done... good job...Don't forget this makes a good slashing weapon...Almost got the femoral artery there."

He has the training for swords and is working on knives but Toby isn't always that good at teaching.

..Oh lord he should really come up with better warning that he's going to climb that spear to start going for the face than just a cackle.
There's going to be a fist held just a millimeter from Quentin's face before he breaks away again.

Its truly like an armory in here and he wants to learn more about them but worried about why they're in Beauford's room.

Quentin will find a bottle being thrown his way after a second or two.
"I had to rebuild the inventory after the original room got demolished in a Bar-wide disaster... Like those kopesh," He's gesturing at curved and hooked bronze blades hanging in a case. "I have some other training rooms for the other weapons, just because some of them don't get along with each other."
no subject
"It makes me think of the Duchy's armory but with more types. Are those sorts of disasters common?"
no subject
"Tell you what...pick out all of the weapons you're not familiar with...take photos with your cellphone. That'll be your homework for when you're not training."

Mean time there's still more training to be done. "We've still got two and a half hours of training to fill today, so... my earlier question still stands. Spar with spears or go for something else?"

He's getting better at them too but he needs to learn more.
