Seattle, the invitation for Dinah
He is a man of his word, and one more than capable of figuring out how to get people in and out of his world with little issue. That's why he and Dinah emerge from the third stall of the Unisex bathroom of the Seattle Public Library. It's clean, quiet, and most importantly of all, devoid of security cameras.
"Be this portal ever so humble."

"Maybe I should save the rest of the menu for you to drool and decide over after the workout."

"Food is more important."

"This is our stop."
no subject
"Nice place. Where're we headed?"

Honestly she's a terrible tourist. She likes looking.
no subject
Okay, why is she looking at the grungy warehouses and smiling anyways.
He comes to a stop by a pair of iron-barred doors and stops, stomping off the slush from his boots. Then, with a bow, the doors open up to a burly man behind a desk.
no subject
And she nods to the burly man. This is for Beauford to take the lead in.
no subject
The burly man behind the desk takes a look over Beauford's packet of information and nods, swiping the card.
Time for Dinah to front up those fake papers.
"Either of you a meta?"
no subject
(And wow, it feels weird saying that outloud.) "Lungs and throat."
no subject
The man behind the desk nods, filling out a few forms.
"Sign here, and I'll send you in." Once signed, waiving that should any property be damaged during their run, it will be coming from Beauford's card.
With that, the doors to the left open up into a very neat little lobby, a vending machine loaded with your standard gatorade and soy-granola bars, a tv set secured into an upper corner, and two other doors marked changing rooms for either gender and a sign.
'Please do not use meta abilities in the bathing facilities to heat the water. We DO NOT NEED ANOTHER ELEMENTAL INCIDENT.'
no subject
"Meet you on the other side in ten?" she asks, hand on the women's door.

As far as gym rooms go, this is very neat, clean, and the other ladies changing don't even bother looking up at Dinah as she walks in. Nor do they much care if they're stared at, if the six-limbed dog woman is any indication. From the looks of things, the lockers are rented with quarters, pay 50 cents and your stuff is safe while you work out.
By the time Dinah gets done with her changing, Beauford's going to be bouncing on the balls of his feet, dressed in a light grey tight long-sleeved shirt, sweatpants and some very odd thin socks that have a single split in the toes. And trying hard not to get that 'excited puppy' look on his face.
For what it's worth he is a trim young man, there might not be any six-pack under than shirt, but he's definitely got some musculature and a fit build.
no subject
It says something about how much her normal clothes hide about her - in barefeet she walks deliberately, like stepping into a dojo.
But her excited grin is still all Dinah.
"Hey."
no subject
There's a map this side of the changing rooms...if they continue down the hall they'll reach the regular exercise areas. Swimming pool is right next to the changing rooms, and on the hallway to the left is a sign pointing up some stairs.
Parkour Course.

At least part of Dinah's looking around is out of normal wanting to be aware of her surroundings. Some of the rest is the cute guys in shorts. But she keeps up with him anyway.
no subject
Upstairs is... well. It is a maze of blocks, vaults, and walls on the floor. Above, once you see through the strong rope netting, is thick steel pipes, air ducts, rings and ropes. This is the big kids jungle gym, with a nice little map of the possible work-out courses on the side of the wall indicating the two-stories worth of playable ground.
"...last one around the beginner's circuit buys the first drinks!" He declares, taking off in first a sprint, a jump, and then a vault over one of the padded walls.
no subject
Dinah laughs at his back, a second behind him in reflexes that doesn't mean much once she gets going. After the first run up, she leaps and vaults and then she's only behind him because the opportunity to pass isn't there yet.

Or she could flip her legs beneath her and slip by with a dash vault, that conveniently manages to compensate for her shorter stride length. She follows her own momentum and pulls forward.
no subject
THIS is what he is talking about. So what if she's got the lead? There's a nice big wall coming up ahead, and he's going to make the most of his body length to jump to the wall corner and get that nice wall-to-wall vault climb going and get over the wall just a second before her.
no subject
They're neck and neck for a time.
no subject
And Beauford just went handsprung into one feet first, catching the outer seam of the padded wall, using it to swing forward, get both feet on the wall above the hole and fully launch himself to the next well.
